Hey,I just saw the movie before the official launch on exclusive-movies.co9898m (remove 9898).The film has it’s action packed moments and plenty of laugh-out loud moments. The characters are paper-thin and their journey together is entirely routine and totally predictable. Like I told you I saw the movie on exclusive-movies.co9898m (remove 9898). All the other sites from this comments promoting this movie are with fake stuff

@mexcurmudgeon Crimson Dynamo was another villian that is worth mentioning. He’s like Obidiah, but more of a mad scientist. His suits large like Iron Mongers and pretty much as advanced as Tony Starks (Wow I’m such a nerd.) Although it doesn’t sound like too great of a villian, he’s actually a key antagonist in the comics. Plus, he’s a far better choice than Whiplash.
Either way, Justin Hammers gonna be the main villain in this film, not Whiplash.

@mexcurmudgeon HeIf you look at some of the newer Iron-Man villains they are bad ass but back in the day almost every hero had super lame villains most noteablly batman heck even now he’s are still lame.

Iron Man’s biggest weakness has been lame villains – aside from Obadiah Stane (Iron Monger), the only villains of note for him are Fin Fang Foom (a giant dragon-looking alien), and the Mandarin. With the reference to the terrorist group ‘The Ten Rings’ in the first film, I was hoping we’d see Mandarin, but maybe Favreau’s saving him for the planned Avengers movie – he could definitely be a challenge for the Avengers.
Whiplash is pretty lame, but Mickey Rourke is decent, so here’s hoping…

meh, looks like its going to suck to me, the plot looks dumb. Let me guess, starks going to give up his suit, some bad guy is going to get it, stark gets all emo, his cum dumpster talks him out of being emo, he builds a new suit and fights villian….there, Ironman 2
srsly, i’ll put money up thats the plot

Very good insight view of lil details in the trailer, I havent read comic books in ears but have heard bout the extremist story line and there is a small clip in the trailer where tony’s chest alongside the arc reactor kinda looks like a circuit board so maybe that will take some play into the movie. Only thing that worries me is that they do a transformer 2/Spiderman 3 problem where there’s TOO MUCH action and villains to keep something stale and coherent.

It’s always sad seeing the drones clammer for what looks like a mediocre sequel. Jon Favavrero can’t direct action scenes, he’s a comedy director, as shown in his track record. If anyone remembers the final fight in IR1 they will understand that it was very lackluster even dull.
IR2 will have more action by the trailer, but I’m only in it for Rourke, forget Rockwell, he’s eclipsed by Rourke’s The Wrestler.

I’m also excited for Ironman 2. I just hope it still has a good story and doesn’t just devolve into a mindless action movie. Sometimes that is the case for franchise sequels. Will be interested to see what Cheedle does with War Machine.

Agree w/u 100%. They could have come up with something more realistic or grounded to reality. The Mandarin would have been a great villain. They should have made the movie with the ten rings being the main terrorist group to dismantle by Iron Man and War Machine. This Whiplash is pathetic. They could have come up with a better story line.

wouldn’t that be a blessing? ^^
and I agree.

even thou whiplash seems to be the main villain of the movie, I actually think he’s only gonna be a small part of the movie, just a thing that’s gonna move the story line, cause it seems that the only scene with whiplash is the race track scene. Or maybe whiplash is the one that steals the Warmachine suit to fight Ironman, I don’t know. But one thing is for shure: whiplash can’t fight ironman cause hes suit is too pathetic compared to ironman’s

I’m still going to give it a chance and go see it, pal. Though I’m just upset over how uncreative they are being. And yeah I know he’s in the comics; unlike most superhero movie fans, I’m up-to-date on a good deal of the source material, but why oh why whiplash?? he’s an alright villain in the comics, and I realize Ironman doesn’t have many good ones, but at least Mandarin would have been so much cooler. I like Ironman the character, but I think they could do so much better with the movies.

It’s not like they invented the villains, they took em from the comic, and that’s just being faitfull to the originals. I admit, it’s kind of cheesy that whiplash steals starks technology to make the suit since he didn’t do that in the comics, but when you think about it, he could be a pretty cool villain. I think you should see the movie before you start judging the character. Whiplash is one of the best Ironman villains in the comics. Give him a chance

thanks Fury, nice job
May 29th, 2010 at 9:02 pm
Wow. Whiplash is just so stupid. Pretty much exactly the same as the villain in the first one. I can’t decide which one is stupider. They BOTH steal Stark’s technology and make a similar suit. And with ‘Whiplash’, I guess his name works with the character, but is that the best character the writers could come up with? Good God!
With these movies, if Tony Stark would JUST keep his Suit under lock and key he wouldn’t have any villians…

(The Watchmen opening sequence was my favorite part of that film!) Great observations and points, Fury. My only familiarity with Iron Man is from the first movie, so I appreciate your knowledge. This trailer made me giddy!

May 29th, 2010 at 10:31 pm
DAMNNNN that trailer sent chills up my spine!
May 29th, 2010 at 11:03 pm
“it looks like whiplash may be making an appearance!!”
He is basically the whole focus of the trailer and you see him attack Stark.
May 29th, 2010 at 11:51 pm
@lukevalmurray i am not entitled to get exited over a fight between iron man and war machine or that Mickey Rourke is gonna be playin whiplash?
