Batman 3 Trailer: Jim Carrey as The Riddler

Why not? he could become the first actor to play the same character in the original and remake. Not to mention he could do a Heath Ledger like performance as the main villain, the riddler. feel free to debate.

  1. @maintayn Probably because many comedians commonly use negative pessimistic observations in their standup routines (i.e. What’s the deal with airline food?)

  2. ultrabeastmode Says:

    no thank u.

  3. You have a point! He was a good riddler!

  4. TheAnonymousgirl12 Says:

    I really hope not

  5. LDtheBrachio Says:

    awesome! jim owns him,

  6. ReaperOfRock Says:

I think Jim Carrey should definatly play the Riddler. He was only goofy because of the way his part was written, but those who’ve seen The Number 23 can say that he is an amazing dramatic actor with a crazy side.

  7. left4deadzombiessss Says:

thats a rumor johnny depp has said nothing

  8. My bad it should be “As”

  9. Stupid idea Thank god johnny depp got it. I love Jim carry but a two times as the riddler Hell no

  10. i no dude. same thing with me about the joker’s theme.

  11. undertakerattic Says:

wow yall need to find yall selves a girl mate.

  12. SamuraiChamploo654 Says:

The only reason Jim Carrey’s Riddler was ridiculous was because of the script. If Burton directed Forever,Carrey’s Riddler would be much better(If Burton casted him anyways).

  13. Patrico216 Says:

i heard johnny depp was guna be the riddler

  14. somethingtidal Says:

i swear to god, the joker’s theme gives me chills every time i hear it.

anyway, i think making jim carrey the lead as the riddler in the next movie is a really brilliant idea. he could carry on the whole maniacal thing, and maybe they could even mix in harley quinn? i really hope they don’t stop making batman movies, now that they’ve gotten as good as they are.. :(

  15. No. What I’m saying is that I’m a big fan and I know a lot about different aspects of the character and his universe. I’m not about all that elitist fanboy bullshit, but I will state my opinion and correct the poorly informed. I said what I had to say respectfully to this video’s poster and you came out of no where and started to insult me. Just look at the series of comments. You started it. Now let’s act like civilized people and agree to disagree. There’s no point in continuing this.

  16. dannyboyinxs Says:

just shut the fuck up mate, you obviously reckon that by owning an entire collection… you know your shit. Well, you don’t! your a pathetic person who thinks being a fanboy suddenly gives him brains

  17. Uh… Do you know what the cartoons and movies are based on? The comic books. The fact that you say “who gives a shit” about them shows that you really don’t know the character as well as you think you do. And don’t throw the cartoons at me. I own every episode of Batman The Animated Series on DVD and guess what: The Riddler isn’t like what Jim Carrey did in any episode. Look this stuff up. I feel like i’m arguing with a 5 year old. You’re so blissfully unaware of how ignorant you are.

  18. dannyboyinxs Says:

neither do i mate, but obviously your comment needed responding to seeing it was mindless and made no sense as does your latest one. who gives a shit about the comic books honestly? what happens in the comic books and what happens in the movies are 2 different things. For now, why don’t we just stick to the movies? the riddler was always that character, and i’m not basing that on batman forever. he was the same in the cartoons as well. The chris nolan franchise is just a pathetic remake attempt.

  19. dannyboyinxs
You obviously don’t know shit. They are not remakes. Maybe if you pulled your head out of your ass, you would realize that the plots are completely different. They’ve even explicitly stated this. Have you ever even read a Batman comic book? The Riddler is not that zany and if you think that version would work in the new movies, you’re sadly mistaken. If you disagree with me, fine but don’t start shit with me for no reason. I have no interest in debating with ignorant losers.

  20. dannyboyinxs Says:

why would you say the original riddler’s character needs to be re-written? Batman forever was well written and was probably the best one in terms of casting. I couldn’t think of anyone else better to play the lunatic role of the riddler. you really don’t know what you are talking about.

as for the “remakes” comment, yes they are remakes, because they are the same stories, only chris nolan has screwed around with the plot a bit and has made the storyline inconsistent

    p.s. you’re a stupid faggot

  21. Jim Kerry would be perfect Joker :D

  22. rememberI Says:

i think its because they are always making others laugh and not themselves, so they can see they sadder darker sides of things. or the reason that they are funny and joking around is to help themselves forget darkness by laughing. thats what i do.

  23. BROKENHOUSEFILMS Says:

    really creepy!!!!!!!!!

  24. No offense, but I completely disagree with you. Jim Carrey’s Riddler was not very good and it probably would not be very good in this movie either. The character needs to be written and portrayed conletely differently so there’s no point to having him reprise the role.
p.s. The new Batman movies are not remakes. They’re a completely new franchise with their own stories.

  25. AbominationOfnation Says:

He was good in number 23…..why not.(But not the camp version)
